Visit of Taif by Prophet (P.B.U.H) is the most hurting moment in the history of Islam. The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) knew very well that people at Taif also worshipped idols. But he did not despair. As he entered Taif, and proclaimed his prophet hood, people jeered at him. One said: "God did not find anyone else for His message except you?". People of Taif set a group of children behind him.They threw stones at him. He was wounded and he was bleeding his shoes stick with his feet because of blood as stones were hit on his legs.he sought refuge in a nearby garden. Then he raised his face towards heaven and prayed for his helplessness. That gardenwas related to Atabah. Atabah was one of the chief of Quraish and one of the biggest enemy of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). As he saw Prophet (pbuh) in that blooded condition his heart was also got melt seeing him. The celebration of Eid-ul-Adha is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah SWT and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram, which was to be slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah SWT was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eid-ul-Adha means the festival of sacrifice.
